  Wednesday Night Prayer Services

7 PM at the Schuyler Inn, Menands

About Sunday mornings:

The Sunday service usually lasts for about two hours.

All Sunday services start with an introduction by the speaker, a time of testimonies where you can share what the Lord has done in your life throughout the week, worship and then the message. We end every Sunday service with fellowship.

The first Sunday of the month is a special communion service. Communion immediately follows worship.

Our worship is live and anointed. It is designed to get us into GOD’S presence and to get GOD’S presence into us. As the LORD leads our worship, we will begin to sing, weep, laugh, clap our hands, lift up our hands, shout praises to GOD, prophesy, dance, play instruments, etc... all to give the LORD the glory due to His name. Everything listed here is all Biblical forms of worship. That doesn’t mean that you have to do the same things. You express your worship to GOD your way. Quiet is good. Soft and gentle is good too! We express worship and praise to GOD in all ways. From upbeat contemporary music to soft time honored songs, we do it all to glorify GOD.

Included in our worship is an opportunity to participate in the LORD'S "Healing ministry". This too is Biblical. This means that people are prayed for individually by the Pastor and/or people that he chooses to help him. The Bible is filled with this type of  prayer. It is during this time of individual ministering that GOD will usually touch His people. We have seen many dramatic answers to prayer for the healing of people's bodies, especially cancers. We have had 15 people divinely healed of cancer. These healings have all been Dr. verified. Other diseases and conditions have also vanished without a trace too! Some times it is instant, and yet other times the healing comes with time and consistent prayer. People have also been delivered from heaviness of their hearts. We've seen bad situations turn to good, hard hearts have become softer, attitudes have softened, Many things that have bound people are broken off of them.  Whether having been prayed for or not, just about everyone feels lighter, freer and more at peace with themselves and GOD when worship concludes.

Maybe for the first time ever in your life, you will experience the awesome, life changing presence of the Almighty GOD. This happens as GOD "manifests" or makes His presence known to people. Wouldn't it be nice to leave church different than when you entered? Wouldn't it be nice to come in sick and leave whole and healed? In our church it is possible

Again, our women's Pastor, Sue Sharpe takes the pulpit on Communion Sundays. Elder Eric VanGarderen takes the pulpit on the last Sunday of each month. Then senior Pastor Tom Sharpe takes the pulpit for the middle Sundays. Each message comes from the throne room of the LORD and is Biblically sound. Whether you like meat or you need milk, you can always find something in the messages that will speak to you.

Many first time visitors feel a little strange and even out of place when GOD actually shows up. This is because they have never felt anything like "the anointing" before. Most people don't even know that it exists at all. Relax, It's nothing to get nervous about. It's all in the Bible.

John 14:21- "He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him"

To manifest means to show oneself, to make oneself known. The Lord Jesus actually comes to us through His Holy Spirit. When the LORD shows up in a church service and people can feel it, it is known as the "unction" or "anointing".

1 John 2:20,27-(20) But ye have an unction from the Holy One, and ye know all things. (27) But the anointing which ye have received of him abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him.

The Bible says that it is the anointing that will break the heavy yoke of bondage off of you.

About Wednesday nights:

Wednesday nights we offer a different style service, a prayer service. We arrange the chairs in circles of about 8 chairs per circle. There are prayer group leaders who oversee each group. The children stay with their parents through the prayer. Each person in the circle will have time to pray quietly with the others in their circle for their needs, concerns, or whatever. This takes about 20-30 minutes.

When the prayer is over, then there is a time to share your testimony about whatever GOD has done for you, taught you, blessed you with, etc...  It's awesome to hear about what GOD us doing in the lives of His people.

That leaves time for messages to be brought forth but the upcoming leaders in our church. Before you know it, it is time to go home again.

Maybe you have some concerns about praying in a group setting. Please don’t worry about it, no one will ever pressure you to join in if you aren’t comfortable. Our goal is to help people feel at ease in each service, and not pressure anyone to perform. We want you to be yourself and express yourself naturally. If you just want to sit quietly in the circle and listen to the prayer of others, that’s fine.

After church activities:

After every service we have a time of fellowship.  This time is used to deepen existing relationships between GOD'S people, and also to help create new relationships. We invite you to stay if you want to. You and your family can get to know some of the people in the church and you can begin to develop new friendships with people who have walked with the LORD for a while now and can help to answer any questions that you might have. You might be surprised to find out that some of these people are your neighbors or go to school with your children.

Finally, if you are late or If you have to leave for any reason, don't feel embarrassed as you enter or leave. We believe that even a little time spent in church with GOD is better than none at all!
